How you can contribute

I am currently accepting specimens that are documented on platforms like iNaturalist or Mushrooms Observer. Most specimens are interesting to me even if they seem "common" as many frequently used names currently cover a diversity of poorly or unknown species diversity. Feel free to reach out if you have specimens or observations you are potentially interested in submitting for research purposes. All of the specimens contributed get examined macro- and micro-scopically and some are submitted for DNA sequencing.

What makes a good specimen? Quality photographs of the organism in its habitat that displays coloration and characteristics is ideal. Addition notes on habitat, color, size, odor, and taste when fresh are appreciated but I know this is not always practical in some situations.

Additionally, if you would like to solely fund a full-time research team, I won't turn you down either ;)
